Survival mode is the first thing most new players will go for in Minecraft in this mode, you can’t create new things, and you’re totally reliant on your survival skills.
You’ll need to collect resources such as wood, stone, and food in order to keep yourself alive. You’ll also need to build a shelter to protect yourself from the weather, and keep a watchful eye out for monsters that might want to kill you.
If you survive long enough, you’ll be able to craft tools and items that will help you progress further into the game just make sure you have the correct resources stockpiled beforehand, so you don’t run out of important things like wood or stone.
Tips for Surviving in Minecraft
Now, you’ve probably already worked out most of these things, but just in case:
Build shelters:
This is a no-brainer, but building shelter is essential for the minecraft survival in the game is full of monsters that can hurt you if they get close, and it gets cold at night. If you spend all night outside, you’ll freeze or even die, build shelters that are durable and protect you from rain, snow, and monsters.
Plant food:
This is another no-brainer. You’ll need to collect resources like wood and stone to keep yourself alive, but these are useless if you don’t eat them! In order to grow crops, you’ll need to plant seeds, there are plenty of these around the game world, so you shouldn’t have trouble finding them.
Once you’ve planted your seeds, you can collect the crops that come from them there are a variety of foods you can grow, depending on the season.
If you’re in the Nether, you’ll want to grow crops that are more resistant to the dark, as well as ones that are better suited to Nether conditions there’s no reason to grow the same food all the time- try to collect different crops, so you have a wider variety of food.
Breed animals:
While it’s not possible to breed animals in the game, you can easily collect the spawn eggs of animals that you find. Keep an eye out for the eggs, and hatch them as soon as you have a space to keep them. This will give you an animal that you can keep around, so you don’t have to spend time searching for an animal every day.
Protect yourself:
There’s no point stockpiling resources if you don’t protect yourself from harm, you can’t protect yourself from all damage, so don’t rely on this completely. However, you should always try to protect your inventory from theft, and you should also wear a helmet when mining.
Play with others:
Minecraft is a social game, if you want to thrive in it, you need to play with others find friends on the server who are willing to help each other, and build things together. This will help you to feel like part of a community, and it will also give you plenty of opportunities to help others.
Be patient:
The most important thing is to be patient if you jump into the game with too much vigor, you’re likely to die a lot, and you’re also likely to get angry and frustrated, the game is hard, but it’s not impossible.
Build up your reputation:
You get XP based on the reputation you have on the server, build up your reputation by helping other players, and by building and protect things.
